The Main School is for ages 6+ (1st class and upwards) and lasts 2 hours. It involves Drama, Singing and Dance with a short break in between.

Drama – we begin with theatre games and warm-ups, before moving onto improvisation and script work, eg Shrek, Mary Poppins, Room on the Broom etc. Drama builds confidence, improves memory skills, develops creativity and character work and aids teamwork.

Musical Theatre: Dance – we warm up to music, practice corner work to improve dance technique and learn routines to musical theatre numbers and chart hits. Occasionally we challenge students by giving them the opportunity to get creative and work on their dance routines in groups!

Musical Theatre: Singing – Voices are warmed up and songs are learned from musicals, Disney and sometimes the charts, to performance standard
The focus of the Main School is building confidence, improving performance technique, consolidating stagecraft and developing creativity while having fun and making friends!

We work towards the end of term showcases for parents in-house, as well as bigger public performances in theatres– in 2023, The Moat Theatre, Naas, and Axis Theatre, Ballymun.
We also work towards Drama and Musical Theatre examinations with the Irish Board of Speech and Drama.
We sometimes have once-off workshops at class, for example yoga, stage combat and screen acting, to give students a well-rounded approach to the arts.

Cost – Main School costs €15 to try out on week 1 and €140 per 10 week term.
